The Law Offices of Damian G. Waldman, P.A. is an expanding creditors’ rights law firm based in Seminole, Florida. We provide foreclosure and bankruptcy services to lenders in seven states: Florida, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Nevada, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania. We also handle bankruptcy matters in Nebraska, Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Colorado. We pride ourselves on being the fastest and most reasonably priced law firm in each of our covered states.

Law Clerk

We currently have two positions open with for students with the desire to gain experience in a high-volume law firm and the drive to succeed.

Job duties will include:
• Draft pleadings for attorney review, including Complaints, Motions for Summary Judgment, Litigation, and Final Judgment packages.
• Perform legal research on a variety of issues.
• Draft Memoranda of Law for attorneys and clients.
• Compile packages for filing and service.
• Answer non-legal questions and screen calls for attorneys.
• Provide client updates via email and third-party systems.
• Communicate with clerks, sheriffs, and vendors at attorney request.
• File documents with the Court upon attorney approval.
• Assist with maintaining paper files.

Qualifications:
• Must be at least in 2L year at an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research skills are required.
• Must be self-starter.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, and PDF viewers, including Adobe and/or NitroPro.
• Must have a good working knowledge of LexisAdvance.
• Must be a fast learner.
• Must be a team player.
• Knowledge of loan tracking systems, such as VendorScape, LenStar, LPS, and Tempo is a plus.
• Experience in creditors’ rights, foreclosure, or bankruptcy law is a plus.
• Ability and desire to be admitted multiple states is a plus.

Job type: Part Time or Full Time
Salary: $10 per hour to start

Intern

Are you interested in a career as a paralegal or an attorney?  Why wait to work in the industry until you've completed your education?  We offer the unique opportunity to experience life in a high-volume, creditors' rights firm with complete flexibility to work around your school schedule.

You'll learn how a law office is run, how to keep it organized, how to draft pleadings and other legal documents, and how to read contracts and dockets.  In addition, you'll get to spend time with one of our top-notch attorneys or paralegals who can guide you as you pursue your goals.

We are currently looking for two interns interested in a career in law and one interested in legal accounting.

Job type: Part Time
Salary: unpaid or for credit to start, with potential to be promoted to a paid position as a legal assistant when the internship ends.
